The river Severn with its famous bore flows through Tewkesbury, a historic market town, with the beautiful Tewkesbury Abbey as the focal point. The town is famous for the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471 and the re-enactment of the battle occurs each year.
The Waterways museum is in the award winning refurbished Docks of Gloucester, within walking distance of Gloucester Cathedral. There is The Wild Fowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge and a Falconry Centre at Newent. Not forgetting the beautiful walks around the Forest of Dean, Malvern Hills, Cleeve Hill and Bredon Hill.
The Toddington Steam Railway is only 10 miles from our village of Tredington and Sudeley Castle at Winchcombe only 8 miles away. Within our Parish we have a Norman Church and a Saxon Church with wall paintings that depict the life of St James of Compostela.
